My Sunday in Boulder

If you've stopped by for a visit recently, you probably already know that I am working out of town in Boulder, CO.  This place is gorgeous!  Here is the view I start with everyday from my hotel!

Today, I started the day going to church with a friend and coworker.  The service was quite different than anything I'm used to, but it was nice.  The church itself was so beautiful.  I wanted to take pictures so badly, but I didn't think it would be appreciated.  I did take a shot of the beauty around us on our walk from the car.  Here is just a glimpse of how beautiful it is around here!

After church we went out to lunch in downtown Boulder.  Again, just walking to our destination was breathtaking!

These pictures really don't capture the true beauty.  My iPhone is nice, but certainly not a top notch camera.
I hope you got a feel for how lovely this place really is.  I wonder if the people who live here ever get over it.  Probably not!

I tweaked my blog using the logo my son created for me.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by.

Furniture Finds

Since I am traveling for my work pretty much until December 9 (I'm home for 2 weeks in November), I can't post about my usual projects.  Today I thought I would share with you what I have waiting for me to work on when I return home.  I have purchased most of these pieces at estate sales on the last day for unbelievable bargains!  Some I have ideas for already.  Others will "speak" to me as I get started on them.  My husband keeps telling me I'm forbidden to buy another piece of furniture until I move some out. He says I've gotten obsessed carried away with my bargain hunting.   I just give him that "look", and he gives in. :)

So here are my finds..................

Mid-Century Modern Gossip Bench.  What a fun piece!
I think I'll go with some bright colors on this one.

I have learned since I bought this, that it is Waterfall furniture.
I haven't decided whether to paint it or restore it.

Matching vanity.

This coffee table is huge!  The top is pretty scratched up, which
is hard to see in this picture.  Look at those roomy drawers!

I'm thinking a glossy finish for this one.  And shiny silver for the handles.

Got this one the day before I left town.  It is solid wood
(looks like oak) and the drawers are dovetail construction.  It's a beauty!

A closer look.

OK, maybe my husband is right about getting carried away with my furniture purchases.  I actually have a cute little drop leaf table I haven't gotten a picture of yet.  Well, I'll definitely have plenty of work cut out for me when I get home.  I can't wait!!!!!

Please leave some comments with your ideas!

Thanks for stopping by.
