Harlequin Dresser/Sideboard

This is one of those projects that I had to adjust my initial plan for the piece. I was originally going to stain the top and drawer fronts.  But the wood just wasn't cooperating.  So then I thought I'd try leaving some wood with this harlequin design and staining the drawer edges.  Here's the result.......

I think the "after" looks a little better, huh?  


Now I'll show you a few more pics with some of the details.  I tried a new technique with a silver glaze.  What do you think?
